Collective Worship
At Belmont Primary School, collective worship is a treasured and important part of daily life. It gives our whole school community a peaceful moment to come together, reflect, and celebrate the Christian values that guide us.
During worship, we explore Bible stories, give thanks, and consider how we can live out our Rainbow Values — kindness, respect, honesty, peace, patience, forgiveness, and love — in our everyday actions.
Collective worship supports spiritual development, encourages children to think deeply, and fosters a strong sense of belonging. It is a joyful, inclusive experience that nurtures the hearts, minds, and spirits of everyone in our school family.
Rev. John Estall
Rev. John Estall, Priest‑in‑Charge at St Mary Magdalene Church, Belmont, leads worship in school around once a month. As part of our RE curriculum, we also visit the church, especially at key times of the Christian calendar such as Christmas and Easter.
Open the Book
Once a month, worship is led by the Open the Book team — a group of volunteers from local churches.
They bring Bible stories to life through interactive storytelling in which children play an active part. These sessions are fun, engaging, and loved by pupils and adults alike.
